Anna Leigh Ashford

Annaleigh Amanda Ashford, an American singer-dancer and actress. She began her Broadway career with musicals including Wicked and Legally Blonde and Hair. She received the Tony Award for Best Featured actor in a Play as Essie Carmichael from You Can't Take It With You. Annaleigh Ashley Tony Award winning actor and actress has worked alongside actors, directors and both screen and stage throughout all of her career. Ashford's upcoming project is a limited-edition Hulu series titled Welcome to Chippendales, created by Robert Siegel. The show is set to premiere on November 22nd and Ashford is starring alongside Kumail Najiani. Ashford is currently filming for Searchlight Pictures' horror thriller Dust which stars Sarah Paulson and Ebon Moss-Bachrach. The film will stream through Disney's DTC platforms in the form of a Hulu Original. Ashford will be back in 2023. He will play opposite Josh Groban at the Lunt-Fontanne Theatre in this revival Stephen Sondheim Sweeney Todd. The team behind Hamilton producer Jeffrey Seller and director Thomas Kail are at the control of the show. Ashford starred as Paula Jones, the main character of Ryan Murphy's latest FX show American Crime Story Impeachment. The show is based on an infamous national crime that involved Paula Jones Monica Lewinsky Linda Tripp and other principal characters. Ashford starred for two seasons on the CBS hit comedy B Positive. The series was created by Marco Pennette, Chuck Lorre and Linda Lavin. Also, it featured Hector Elizondo and Ben Vereen. Other Broadway credits are Sunday in the Park with George Wicked Legally Blonde and the original role of Lauren in Kinky Boots a performance for which she was awarded a second Tony Award nomination. Ashford was raised and born in Denver and now divides her time between Los Angeles, and New York.
