Awkwafina
American actor and musician Awkwafina made her debut with humorous songs that dealt with racial identity and sexuality with comical wit before expanding her repertoire to Hollywood. She was born Nora Lum to Chinese and Korean parents who immigrated to Forest Hills Queens her first taste of musician life came through the trumpet. Her classical, jazz and hip-hop lessons began when she was just a teenager. As a student, she majored in journalism, and women's studies. She even learning Mandarin in Beijing for a time. She didn't start focusing in music until she finished her degree. In 2012 her track My Vag a response to Mickey Avalon's My Dick found viral success across the Internet and was later released on her debut album Yellow Ranger in 2014. The album also included popular hits that went viral, such as body-positive Queef and the winking tour of her hometown the city of New York Bitche$. The latter song was linked directly into another venture Awkwafina's NYC guide to traveling published in 2015. Following her success as a musician, and author, she chose to assume the role of actor. As well as early shows such as Girl Code and Tawk she appeared in films like Neighbors 2. Storks and Bad Rap. In 2018, she scored breakthrough parts in several famous films such as Dude Ocean's 8 as well as Crazy Rich Asians. That June she issued the EP in Fina We Trust.
